🦠 FLU vs COVID-19 – Know the Difference! 🤒🤧
They share some symptoms, but they’re not the same. Here’s a quick comparison to help you stay informed and safe:
✅ Cause
• Flu: Influenza viruses
• COVID-19: SARS-CoV-2 virus
🕒 Onset of Symptoms
• Flu: Sudden (1–4 days)
• COVID-19: Slower (2–14 days)
🤔 Common Symptoms
Both can cause:
• Fever, cough, sore throat, fatigue, muscle aches, headaches
• Runny/stuffy nose, sometimes nausea or diarrhea
❗ But only COVID-19 often causes:
• Loss of taste or smell
• Shortness of breath
• More serious long-term effects (Long COVID)
⚠️ Severity & Complications
• Flu: Usually milder, but risky for some
• COVID-19: Can cause pneumonia, blood clots, and organ damage
