SINGAPORE, 2025, SEPTEMBER 18 โ Defending champions Unicaja Baloncesto (Spain) have arrived in Singapore to begin their title defense at the FIBA Intercontinental Cup 2025, taking place from 18โ21 September at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.
Unicaja, who lifted the trophy in 2024, headline this yearโs competition and will face tough opposition from fellow continental champions Time Flamengo (Brazil), ๅฎ้ฝๅฎฎใใฌใใฏใน (Japan), Illawarra Hawks Basketball (Australia), Alahli SC (Libya), and NBA G League United (USA).
Drawn into Group A alongside Alahli SC and Illawarra Hawks, Unicaja will need to top their group in the single round-robin stage to advance to the Final on 21 September, where the tournament โChampion of championsโ will be crowned.
This year marks the third and final edition of the FIBA Intercontinental Cup in Singapore, after a three-year partnership between FIBA and Sport Singapore brought the global tournament to Asia for the first time.
Beyond the action on court, fans can also look forward to the return of the Fan Zone at the Singapore Indoor Stadiumโs North forecourt, featuring youth 3x3 tournaments, community clinics, and meet-and-greets with tournament ambassadors Ronny Turiaf (2012 NBA champion) and Pero Antic (three-time EuroLeague winner).
