The leaders discussed cooperation in health, agri-research, education, smart ports, and trade — and agreed to explore a free trade agreement. Several MoUs were also signed to deepen collaboration.

On 15 September, the Embassy of Mexico in Singapore hosted a diplomatic reception at the Pan Pacific Hotel to mark this historic occasion.

🎤 H.E. Agustín García López Loaeza, Ambassador of Mexico to Singapore, opened the evening with a reminder that Independence Day is not only about history but also about reinforcing friendship and cooperation among nations.

🌍 The Guest of Honour, Mr Alvin Tan 陈圣辉, Minister of State for Trade and Industry and Minister of State for Culture, Community and Youth, highlighted the growing partnership between Mexico and Singapore. From bilateral trade reaching US$11.6 billion (a 63.1% increase!) 📈 to cultural and educational exchanges, the evening celebrated a truly multifaceted relationship.

On 11 September 2025, the High Commission of Malaysia in Singapore hosted a reception at Shangri-La to mark the 68th National Day and 62nd Malaysia Day.

The event gathered diplomats, business leaders, government officials, and the Malaysian community, reflecting the depth of the 🇲🇾–🇸🇬 relationship.

Guest of Honour H.E. Dr Vivian Balakrishnan, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Singapore, extended warm congratulations and reaffirmed the unique bond between the two nations. H.E. The seminar “Navigating U.S. Tariffs: Adapt and Advance” at Orchard Hotel Singapore brought together senior executives, trade specialists, and policymakers to discuss the impact of shifting tariffs and supply chains.

✨ A key highlight was the launch of the Centre for the Future of Trade & Investment (CFOTI) Partnership, uniting leaders across finance, logistics, advisory, and legal services, with support from of Trade and Industry (MTI), Singapore and Singapore.

On 4 September 2025, Prime Minister Lawrence Wong met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi to chart the next phase of our bilateral partnership.

Together, they adopted the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership (CSP) Roadmap, deepening cooperation in economic growth, skills development, digitalisation, sustainability, connectivity, healthcare, cultural exchange, and defence.
