It’s our second time hosting a Book Talk! The first was Pink Chilli in a Bowl—a delightful dive into Singapore’s food spots.

This time, we’re exploring something a little different: TCM herbal cuisine.

We’ll admit—we weren’t familiar with it at first. But after chatting (and printing!) with the author, we were genuinely surprised by the kinds of dishes you can whip up with herbs.

An exhibition catalogue for commissioned and designed by (Singapore Tyler Print Institute).

The book’s external packaging features a UV-printed shrink-wrap bearing the title—an uncommon request, as such packaging is typically discarded. As a result, the book itself has no title on the front cover, with the title appearing only on the spine.

Also, some of the internal pages were designed using scanned images—a deliberate choice aligned with the book’s concept. This approach added a raw, textured quality to the visuals, which made it especially fascinating to reproduce through offset printing.
