Biosimilars, breakthrough science, and retina’s rising stars. PIE 35 is here, and it’s packed with the latest insights lighting up the back of the eye. Read the full issue here https://issuu.com/mediamice/docs/pie_issue_35_-_the_retina_issue?fr=sNTUzMjg3MjA5MTk
Here’s a look at what’s inside:

–In our cover story, Dr. Paul Hahn and Dr. Suber Huang weigh in on the quiet but game-changing rise of biosimilars in retina care. Are they just therapeutic lookalikes, or cost-cutting catalysts for better access?

–Assoc. Prof. Dr. Lee Shu Yen shares her inspiring journey from retinal surgeon to industry trailblazer, balancing surgery, research and leadership with grace (and a whole lot of grit).

–Dr. Cyrus Shroff, Asst. Prof. Dr. Sruthi Arepalli, Dr. Kentaro Nishida and Dr. Alay Banker connect the dots between imaging biomarkers, cytokine profiling, and cutting-edge therapeutics, offering a powerful look at how AMD and DME care is evolving from bench to bedside.

Kudos to all the newsmakers featured in PIE 35: the surgeons, scientists, and strategists redefining retinal care around the globe.

ABOUT

PIE Magazine, published by Media MICE, is a digital publication free for ophthalmologists and eye care professionals interested in the posterior segment in the Asia-Pacific region. PIE covers new technology, procedures, research, diseases, and clinical pearls and wisdom, all relating to the vitreous, retina, optic nerve and other posterior segment structures.

While PIE Magazine is a resource for posterior segment surgeons, it also will provide news and education to general ophthalmologists, many of whom treat back-of-the-eye conditions in Asia-Pacific.

We will publish quarterly digital issues: March/April, June/July, September/October, and December/January. The first issue was launched successfully at APAO Singapore 2017. Each issue is distributed to Media MICE’s proprietary database of ophthalmologists all over the world.
