We finally did it! We created an automated video generation tool, linking it to Spotify API. Here's a screen recording of it.

With this tool, new releases data can be fetched from Spotify API every minute, with this data, new videos are then generated automatically.

Script Features:
• Automatically search for Spotify New Release every minute. This can be changed to fit the criteria.
• Automatically search for Spotify New Release based on Artists every minute.

After Effects Features:
• Logos, colors and graphics adapt to different album art. Light copy on dark album art and vice versa.

Post-Implementation Review and limitations:
• This project was set out to be an automatic new release preview video generation tool. However, Spotify API does not allow for downloads of songs or song previews into a file. Due to this API limitation, I could not complete this project by adding a snippet of the New Release's audio into the rendered video. However, this is a great proof of concept and I am going to test out what can be done with other music APIs.

Next Steps:
• Launching of videos in different social media or channels can be an automated process too. So I intent to finish this part of the script to truly automate the process from data fetching, integrating data to After Effects, rendering video to launch.
• Incorporate OpenAI into this. Especially so to test out on how effective it would be to autogenerate copies / captions for social launches.

We're proud to announce that we're providing our automation services to various Non-profit Dog Charity Organizations in Singapore!

Nothing has been confirmed as of now though, as we're still waiting for their reply. But here's a screen recording of how it works!

With this tool:
• Content generation becomes a 1-step action. Key in data -> Get your content!
• Content generation becomes available to everyone, instead of being assigned to someone who knows how to operate Photoshop (if graphics were to be used and branding guidelines were to be adhered to).
• Content generation speeds up. No one needs to be stationed in front of the computer just to create content anymore. Content can be generated on the fly.
• Volunteers and Dog Charity Organizations can reduce or eliminate the unnecessary time needed to create content and have more time for things that matter, like taking care of the dogs.
• Posts can also be posted on social medias automatically. Making it truly a 1-step process.
