We love the imagery of the “longkang” – a ditch, a gutter, or drain – as we think of accessing the forgotten corners of our mind, the dredges of our thoughts and emotions, and the gaps in our knowledge.

As the LONGKANGBRAINduo Nico and KC work on their own junk journals in preparation for ✂️ Yap & Scrap ✂️ this weekend, we caught up with them on the process and got them to share their thoughts and feelings in response to the journals they’ve so thoughtfully put together.

It’s time to embrace their call for a metaphorical brain drain – to get all our feelings out of our heads and onto the page so that we can have those conversations as a community!

✂️ Yap & Scrap ✂️is happening as part of the "How Are You Feeling? A Comics Anthology" book launch. Check out howareyoufeeling.peatix.com for more details.

TIME FOR THAT LATER

Each click-clack of the congkak beads brings back memories as Meera is reminded of a simpler childhood. As the sole caregiver to her ailing father, life seemed to hit a pause. But as her father’s dementia renders him more childlike even as it ages Meera, how does time take a new shape around her?

Time waits for no one, but we’re going to savour the moment.

Take a beat with "DELAY: A Comics Anthology", a collection of eleven stories by Southeast Asian creators that peer into the interstices between moments and bring us on detours that open us up to the cosmic encounters in everyday life. When we slow down, what kinds of chronologies do we see?

Preorder “DELAY: A Comics Anthology” now at wormhole.com.sg or differenceengine.sg to receive a free semi-transparent bookmark. Preorders close on 6 October.

SYNOPSIS
Looming milestones and missed connections. Resisting mainstream expectations and doing life at your own pace.

The Tiger girls are taking over the world ⚡

We weren't sure where the tides would bring us when we first released "Tiger Girls" as a webcomic, so we’re beyond thrilled that our Southeast Asian-inspired dystopian fantasy will be making landfall on far-flung shores abroad.

More than ever now, we need stories that light a fire within us and push back against beliefs we’re told not to question — we can't wait for "Tiger Girls" to reach more readers around the world so that you can all girl-rage along with us.

🔥 Danish translation rights acquired by Forlaget Bogoo
🔥 Global English rights acquired by Mad Cave Studios

The DE print edition of "Tiger Girls" is currently available in selected Southeast Asian countries through differenceengine.sg. International readers, stay tuned for more updates to come.

"Tiger Girls" is created by Felicia Low-Jimenez and Claire Low. Illustration by Claire Low.
