Scale AI founder Alexandr Wang told employees in a memo on Thursday that he’s leaving for Meta, confirming reports from earlier in the week about his departure and a large investment from the social networking company.

➡️ Meta is investing $14.3 billion into Scale AI, landing the startup’s CEO Alexandr Wang to help the company’s artificial intelligence efforts.

➡️ In a memo to employees that he posted on X on Thursday, Wang said he’ll be staying on as a director, “continuing to support Scale’s mission and long-term vision.” Jason Droege, Scale AI’s strategy chief, will be taking over as CEO.

I’m honestly so overwhelmed with joy right now — yesterday when I got the news from Dad and Dr. Lim that he might be discharged early, I was so excited I couldn’t even sleep the whole night! 🥹

And today at 10am, I got a call from Dr. Yen confirming that Dad is officially ready to go home — all thanks to his speedy recovery! 🙌

I’m beyond grateful to God and to SOKA (Singapore SOKA Association) for hearing my prayers.

A huge THANK YOU to the amazing nurses at Ward B56, Khoo Teck Puat Hospital — especially Nurse Charmaine, Nurse Princess, and the rest of the wonderful team — for taking such good care of my dad these past few days. Also deeply thankful to Dr. Lim and Dr. Yen for your dedication and care 🙏💐

This moment means so much to our family. 💖

Dropped by to visit Dad today and was so happy to see he’s doing much better! 💪 Even made a new buddy in the ward — they insisted on taking a photo together 😄 Hope both of them can be discharged soon and get back home to rest properly!

After waiting anxiously from 2am until 3:50pm, I finally got to see my dad and understand his condition in full. The past hours were filled with so much worry and uncertainty… but seeing the lab results and hearing from the doctors that he’s still okay brought such a huge sense of relief. 🙏

All that waiting — it was worth it just to know he’s now in good hands. I feel more at ease knowing he’ll be in the hospital for a few days under professional care and close observation. Thank you to everyone who’s checked in and sent your well wishes. ❤️

It’s 5am now. I’ve been at Khoo Teck Puat Hospital since 2am, after my dad suddenly asked to be brought in. Sitting here alone, waiting for results, I’m filled with anxiety and helplessness. It’s one of those moments where everything feels out of your hands… Just hoping for good news.”

New Chapter Ahead 🌱

Life has recently taken an unexpected turn due to a company restructure, and I’ve since moved on from my previous role. It’s been an emotional time—filled with reflection, uncertainty, and the challenge of letting go of a path I was deeply committed to.

Though the change was sudden, I remain hopeful and grounded in faith that something better is on the horizon. Every end opens the door to a new beginning. 🙏

I’m now open to new opportunities—especially in areas I’m passionate about like eCommerce, Live Commerce, Brand Management, Digital Marketing (Meta & TikTok Ads), and Retail Strategy.
