If you're a cuttlefish snack lover, you’ve probably explored options in Singapore or even Johor Bahru—maybe from places like Taoyuan Snack Store or Mr. Sotong. But let’s be honest, they can be a little pricey, and sometimes the freshness isn’t quite there.
I recently stumbled upon a better options that offers the cuttlefish snack at a much more affordable price—without compromising on quality. No moldy bits, and it's upgraded taste!
Interestingly, I discovered this spot while dining at the restaurant itself, and later found out they have a small shop inside that sells a variety of snacks and other sea or seafood related products, including their delicious and reasonably priced dried cuttlefish aka cuttlefish snack.
I bought a 200g pack of cuttlefish snack for RM42. Compared to Mr. Sotong, where you have to buy a minimum of 500g which is RM140, the price here works out to around RM105 for 500g. While the price difference isn’t huge for a Singaporean, the cuttlefish here definitely looks way fresher and in better condition as well as packaging.
