When we were working on this Simmons project, our director Jeremy poured everything into bringing the idea of “rest in motion” to life.
From the very beginning, he knew the challenge: how do you create visual dynamism when your subjects, a sleeping couple and a mattress, can’t move much?
His solution? Let the camera do the moving. By using the ARC motion control system, Jim and the team were able to choreograph smooth, cinematic shots that gave energy and rhythm to every scene. With no location in Singapore big enough to house the rig and lights, he worked closely with our DP Chuck Tham to plan a full set build starting with his own bedroom as a reference.
Bringing this vision to life meant pivoting from the original client brief, pitching a completely new flow, and building trust through every round of feedback. The best part? The final cut stayed true to his original vision.
