🌍🥋 2025 Guangdong International Taekwondo Exchange Competition 🥋🌍

Zhuhai Shangjing Combat ITF Dojo is proud to announce that the 2025 Guangdong International Taekwondo Exchange Competition will be held in Zhuhai on December 7, 2025.

This event is organized in line with the 2025 Annual Activity Plan Filing for Representative Offices of Overseas Non-Governmental Organizations, and guided by national and provincial directives to strengthen the safe and professional management of sports activities. With strong support from the General Administration of Sport of China and the Sports Bureau of Guangdong Province, the competition aims to contribute to the “Healthy China” initiative while showcasing the vitality of Zhuhai as a City of Youth and Capital of Vitality.

The competition will:
✅ Promote healthy lifestyles and enhance public fitness
✅ Raise the technical level and popularity of ITF Taekwondo in the region
✅ Provide a “doorstep” competition and exchange platform for enthusiasts
✅ Help local practitioners meet qualification standards for higher-level events

After a full year of careful planning and preparation, they are excited to welcome athletes and Taekwondo enthusiasts from across the region and beyond for this international exchange.

🚨 Breaking News: Unconstitutional “India Taekwondo” Under Fire 🚨

The ongoing crisis in Indian Taekwondo has taken a serious turn.

🔹 In 2018, India Taekwondo was created as a temporary ad-hoc body under the Indian Olympic Association (IOA) and World Taekwondo (WT) — only until fresh Taekwondo Federation of India (TFI) elections were held.

🔹 Despite TFI elections being completed in 2023, the temporary body has not been dissolved. Instead, Namdev Shirgaonker continues to operate India Taekwondo without legal registration, elections, audits, or recognition.

🔹 The IOA President PT Usha and IOA Ethics Commission have already confirmed that India Taekwondo is unrecognized and in violation of IOA/WT rules.

🔎 Key Issues:
• No legal registration or elections
• No financial audits
• Misuse of IOA name & logo
• Invalid state affiliates & athlete certificates
• Defiance of court and IOA directives

⚠️ This is not limited to Taekwondo. Recent protests against Shirgaonker’s role as Secretary of Maharashtra Olympic Association (MOA) reveal similar allegations of corruption, exclusion of legitimate sports bodies, and misuse of funds.

👉 Possible Consequences:
• Dissolution of India Taekwondo
• Suspension or ban of Shirgaonker from IOA, WT, MOA
• Criminal investigation for misrepresentation & corruption
• Invalidation of athlete results/certificates
• International arbitration (CAS) scrutiny

📢 In summary: What began as a temporary committee has turned into an unconstitutional power grab that undermines democracy, athlete rights, and the credibility of Indian sport. Unless decisive action is taken now, Taekwondo in India risks losing an entire generation of athletes — sacrificed to politics, corruption, and illegitimacy.
