FOSTERING COLLABORATION: Last week, SEAC attended the AKI Connect 2025 in Jakarta, Indonesia – a business matchmaking forum hosted by the Indonesian Contractor Association (Asosiasi Kontraktor Indonesia - AKI) on 14 Aug at the Swissôtel P*K Avenue, in conjunction with the 57th ACF (ASEAN Constructors Federation) Council Meeting.

AKI Connect provided insights into various PPP (public-private partnership) construction projects in Indonesia – including projects available for foreign investment, PPP regulatory procedures and financial framework, partnership models, and more.

The event allowed us to connect with key industry professionals not only from Indonesia but also ASEAN, and explored opportunities for regional/global partnerships that support national infrastructure development.

A number of leading Indonesian contractors also shared their work and expertise in delivering major projects across the country. In addition, the event featured an exhibition area showcasing the latest solutions for the local construction industry.

Thanks AKI and everyone we met for the warm welcome, interesting sessions and fruitful discussions.

✈️ One of the three runways at Indonesia’s Soekarno-Hatta International Airport in Jakarta was recently due for rehabilitation. Work could only be carried out between 11 pm and 5 am, when no planes were taking off or landing on the runway – making the task all the more challenging.

For the paving work on this runway, which measures 3.6 km long and 60 m wide, PT Roadmixindo Raya relied on two Super 1880 L pavers from Vögele (Wirtgen Group). The machines worked alongside each other and paved four layers each ‘hot-to-hot’ at a working width of 8 m.

👉 Find out why Super 1880 L pavers were chosen for the project:
