Taxi Driver 3 is now out on Viu, and Viu challenged me to make a recipe inspired by the drama! This is what Taxi Driver’s would eat at a Kisashikdang where they need something quick, easy to eat, and nourishing. This is Jaeyuk Bokkeum and Soondubu!
Make these two dishes while you binge on these new episodes that come out on every Friday and Saturday!

📍Ingredients:
For Jaeyuk Bokkeum
• 1 lb pork (sliced)
• 2 green onions, chopped
• 1/2 onion, sliced
• 2 TB gochujang (Korean red chili paste)
• 2 TB soy sauce
• 1 TB sesame oil
• 2 TB corn syrup
• 2 TB gochugaru (Korean red pepper flakes)
• 1 TB minced garlic
• 1 tsp sugar
• Sesame seeds (for garnish)
• Cooking oil
For Soontofu Jjigaeo a
• 3 TB cooking oil
• 1/4 lb minced pork
• 2 green onions, chopped
• 1/2 onion, sliced
• Handful of mushrooms (sliced)
• 2 TB gochugaru
• 2 paper cups water
• 1 TB minced garlic
• 1 TB oyster sauce
• Pinch of salt
• 1 dashi stock coin
• 1 pack of soontofu (soft tofu)
• 1 egg
Instructions:
Jaeyuk Bokkeum:
-Slice onions and green onions.
-In a bowl, mix gochujang, soy sauce, sesame oil, corn syrup, gochugaru, and minced garlic.
-Pat the pork dry, add to the sauce, and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Let marinate for 30 minutes.
-Heat cooking oil in a pan, add the marinated pork, and cook until partially done.
-Add 1 tsp sugar and the sliced veggies. Stir-fry until everything is cooked and slightly charred.
Soontofu Jjigae:
-Heat a ttukbaegi (stone pot) with 3 TB cooking oil.
-Add minced pork and cook for 2 minutes.
-Add chopped green onions, then mushrooms and onions.
-Sprinkle in gochugaru and let it sizzle with the oil.
-Pour in 2 paper cups of water.
-Add garlic, oyster sauce, a pinch of salt, and the dashi coin. Let it simmer.
-Gently add soontofu and cook through.
-Crack in an egg and finish with sliced green onion on top.
