Why do we commemorate Racial Harmony Day on July 21st?

Because that was the day, 61 years ago, when Singapore was rocked by racial riots. From the ashes of a tragedy arose an opportunity for us to reflect on Singapore’s remarkable journey toward racial and religious harmony.

Indeed, many of Singapore’s laws, policies, and even our built environment have been developed with this goal in mind.

This is what makes Singapore exceptional.

Maintaining racial and religious harmony has long been part of Singapore’s nationhood journey.

Over the past two months, DPM Gan has been hard at work strengthening our trade links with other countries.

As Minister for Trade and Industry he has been meetings with trade ministers around the world, while also managing to fit in a full schedule of house visits and work to improve transport connectivity and local infrastructure in Punggol.

PAP MPs are working to help Singapore’s fresh graduates find meaningful jobs as high tariffs and the use of AI cause widespread impact to employment worldwide.

MP Patrick Tay 郑德源 wants the government to revisit and adapt its jobs initiatives for better tackling the challenges and opportunities of generative AI. He is also calling upon our tripartite partners to create more pathways for our fresh graduates to enter meaningful careers.
