After almost 4 years, this beloved outfit is back. After performing at numerous shows and festivals throughout the former Yugoslavian region, as well as in Hungary, Germany, the Czech and Austria, they recorded 12 new songs. This time, they recorded everything as a five-piece. Adding a new guitar player resulted in longer, better-structured songs, with some amazing guitar riffs and cool breakdowns. Lyrically, even more pi**ed and highly politically charged by the current situation in Serbia and the Middle East, not being afraid to call the problems by their right name and to speak about worldwide injustice fueled by greed, colonialism, and rising chauvinism in any form.
"Absurdity of this world" takes influences from the old style of hardcore punk, mixing traditional US hardcore as well as some European classics, think a perfect mixture of bands like Jerry's Kids, Poison Idea, and even Totalitar, charged with the nail-biting strength of newer bands like Scarecrow and Glam. What we have here is more than 20 minutes of pummeling hardcore punk.
Statico's "Absurdity Of This World" is a remarkably angry, powerful, politically charged record. A melting pot between UK82, 70's punk and Swedish hardcore, listening to Statico's songs is no different to listening to the product of a band with members from Poison Idea, Heresy, Die! and Totalitar joining forces to make a new project together. This project doesn't exist, I know. But that's what Statico sounds like. Statico is a clear living reaction to the fascist regime state (Serbia) they come from. Reading the lyrics will give you a clear idea on how close to the end we all are. No one will be feeling safe anymore after listening to this record. (Tadzio Pederzolli)

"Absurdity of This World" charts all the maddening and contradictory notions that are dragging our mental health, planet, humanity, and civilization into complete degradation and fear. It is a harsh light shed on our reality with equal parts motivation and helplessness. Musically the band has emerged with a powerful 12 songs bringing the best of the 40 years of HC punk - heavy contemporary production backing a propulsive heavy DEATHREAT style intensity with beautiful 80s flourishes not out of place on a BGK, COC, or even DIE KREUZEN offering.
