Il Premio Tenco 2025 si è tenuto al Teatro Ariston di Sanremo (Imperia) il 23, 24 e 25 ottobre. La rassegna dedicata alla Canzone d’Autore italiana (e non solo) più prestigiosa e rinomata, manifestazione unica in Europa e al mondo e occasione di incontro e confronto fra artisti e operatori del settore musicale, si tiene dal 1974 nella città del ponente ligure.
Titolo di questa edizione "Con la memoria", tema declinato durante tutta la rassegna con l’intento di indagare intorno ad alcuni fatti salienti della storia del Novecento che hanno avuto riflessi sulla musica. Questo fil rouge ha rappresentato anche uno dei criteri per l’assegnazione dei Premi Tenco per la carriera da parte del Direttivo del Club Tenco. Come di consueto, "MELODITALIA" si occuperà per alcune puntate di alcuni protagonisti della canzone italiana premiati durante la rassegna. Specificatamente, la puntata del 2.11.2025, condotta da Giuseppe Signorelli, in onda dalle h. 10.00 alle 11.00 (in replica dalle 21.00 alle 22.00), prenderà spunto dal Premio SIAE andato a MIMMO LOCASCIULLI per i cinquant’anni della sua iscrizione alla Società Italiana degli Autori ed Editori, con il deposito del brano "Canzone di Sera", e celebrerà i compleanni di due suoi dischi: l'omonimo "MIMMO LOCASCIULLI" del 1985 e "Uomini" del 1995. Sarà un'occasione per conoscere meglio un protagonista della canzone d'autore italiana più nobile, forse non così noto come certi suoi blasonati colleghi, ma, come loro, di assoluto rilievo. The band, formed by synth player Chris Cordwell and percussionist Nick Raybould are joined by the warm and dreamy vocals of singer-songwriter Peter Gelf. 'Tiny Space' is mixed with intimacy and romanticism. American-born singer-songwriter Georgeanne Kalweit is in to bring us her world of secrets. She is known as the voice of Delta V and later active with Kalweit and the Spokes and The Kalweit Project, Georgeanne Kalweit she's ready to go solo and her new single 'Tiny Space ' says it all. At The Roundhouse on October 31, 2025, the timeless spirit of punk rock surged through London's iconic venue, proving that while times may change, the heart remains eternally young when reunited with the anthems of our rebellious past, particularly those delivered by Buzzcocks and The Stranglers (Official). After a quick beer with my friend, fellow actor Rajesh, we descended into the vibrant crowd, instantly swept up by The Buzzcocks' infectious energy; Steve Diggle, embodying that classic punk rock spirit, revived the band's legacy with an intensity reminiscent of their seminal album, 'Another Music in a Different Kitchen,' making us feel, as ever, like we were falling in love with someone we shouldn't have. Then, as The Stranglers took the stage, even with Jean-Jacques Burnel as the sole original member, the Halloween night promised no tricks, only a powerful treat; their new singer, Baz Warn, with his impressive musical pedigree, commanded every song, expertly navigating the band's signature blend of punk, alt, and even prog rock, creating truly intoxicating and devastating sonic moments as classics like 'Golden Brown,' 'Peaches,' 'Strange Little Girl,' and 'Hanging Around' resonated through the venue, culminating in an encore that gifted us the enduring beauty of 'Always the Sun,' 'Mean to Me,' and the timeless 'No More Heroes.' In the midst of that exhilarating hurricane of dancing and pushing, the music of these legends made every person, myself included, feel profoundly, undeniably alive, a testament to the enduring power of punk rock.

“Eternamente Omara” è il nuovo album della cantante e ballerina cubana OMARA PORTUONDO, una delle grandi dive della musica cubana e una figura essenziale nella storia della musica latinoamericana del XX e XXI secolo. Nata all’Avana Il 29 ottobre 1930, la sua carriera artistica abbraccia più di 75 anni, dai suoi primi passi nel mitico cabaret Tropicana ai palcoscenici più prestigiosi del mondo. Conosciuta come “la novia del filin”, è stata una voce fondamentale nell’evoluzione di questo genere, combinando la profondità emotiva del bolero con le armonie del jazz e della canzone cubana. A 94 anni (95 proprio oggi!), pubblica un nuovo album che include collaborazioni con artisti del calibro di NATHY PELUSO, SILVIO RODRIGUEZ, PABLO LÓPEZ e ANGELIQUE KIDJO. The saxophonist, James Senese, one of the cornerstones of R&B, Jazz Rock music of the Neapolitan scene, has passed away after being admitted for pneumonia. Known to have been part of The Showmen and Napoli Centrale, he was also known for his multiple collaborations with great musicians of international caliber. Right now, you will have burst into the hearts of all those who loved and respected you. R.I.P., James.

Insieme all'ora solare, nella puntata di "MELODITALIA" del 26.10.2025, condotta da Giuseppe Signorelli, in onda dalle h. 10.00 alle 11.00 (in replica dalle 21.00 alle 22.00), scatterà anche... "L'OraZero"! Questo è, infatti, il titolo dell'ultimo album di RENATO ZERO, un disco intenso, dagli arrangiamenti raffinati e testi poetici di cui ci occuperemo nella seconda parte. Nella prima, ci muoveremo come "detective del suono" "Sulle tracce dell'imperfetto" (questo il titolo di un altro disco), per scoprire che, in realtà... non c'è nessuna imperfezione in questo album dell'artista romano, uscito nel 1995, del quale verranno celebrati i trent'anni. Ad incastonarlo come pietra preziosa nel diadema della Musica Italiana basterebbe un solo titolo di un brano iconico qui contenuto: "I migliori anni della nostra vita". Questo è il menù!
