I never thought I would have to say this but 😭😭😭 If you’re just passing by, it’s fine. Go see the LEGO campus, visit the LEGO shop, and buy the exclusives. Otherwise, unless you have kids, don’t bother. There is absolutely nothing to see in the museum for adults. Such a missed opportunity. Old sets are mixed in with new ones, it’s total chaos. There are plenty of building experiences for kids, but I found it unhygienic for so many children to be touching the same bricks. The sets could have been arranged by theme; a missed opportunity indeed. The Mini Chef is fun until you’re served pre-made, reheated meals (frozen, refried, and the like). Not worth the price at all. If this is on your wish list as an adult, take it off—it’s not worth it AT ALL. Overpriced, overrated, overcrowded.

There is no such thing as a self-taught developer, and I’m saying that with three degrees behind me 🙅‍♀️

I was 17, in a university lab in Bratislava, on a computer that wasn’t mine, stuck on pointers for two days. What unblocked me was a classmate who explained pointers to me again, and again, and he had the patience no teacher of mine ever had. He got nothing for it. Ten years later he is still the best teacher I have had.

Numbers in the video: 3,862 questions were posted on Stack Overflow in December 2025, reported in January 2026 from the Stack Overflow Data Explorer, against more than 200,000 questions a month at its peak in early 2014.

Send this to whoever answered your question when they had no reason to. Mine sat one desk away and still has no idea 🙌

Everyone spent this summer arguing whether a computer science degree is worth it in 2026 - I have three of them 😬and I still failed two programming subjects in my first year.

The degree did not make me employable; four years of being confused on purpose made me able to read anything I am handed, which took much longer to pay off.

Tag someone starting their first semester in a few weeks, or someone who nearly quit in year one and stayed. 👩‍💻

In the EU, this is classed high-risk - Annex III of the AI Act, whose duties for hiring tools now start on 2 December 2027. We are the ones building the next set.

Everyone who learned to code before AI was taught for free by a stranger at 2am who got ten internet points for it.

On Stack Overflow an upvote on an answer is worth ten reputation points, that was the whole salary. Those answers stayed public, the archives got licensed to AI companies (Stack Overflow announced its deal with OpenAI in May 2024), the platform got paid, and the people who typed the answers got nothing.

Standard price for a coding assistant in 2026: about $20 a month. I pay it. It is good. Both of those things are true at once and I am not pretending otherwise. If a stranger on the internet taught you your job, send this to them. You probably can’t, you never knew their name. Send it to someone who was raised the same way.

meet the newest member of my kitchen: the La Marzocco by Espressolutions Linea Mini R in brushed steel. as an engineer I fall for the details: dual boilers with independent PID control (0.75L brew / 3L steam), a saturated group head borrowed straight from their commercial machines, and the new two-valve pre-infusion for that soft, even saturation. basically café-grade thermal stability sitting on my counter.

but honestly? it’s also just beautiful 🌱the brushed steel, the exposed group, the little red heartbeat on the display. it makes the 6am coding-and-espresso ritual feel like something 😌
