What's wrong with them? Both Mourinho and Solskjaer are sacked in 24 hours

Fenerbahçe have announced that it has parted ways with Jose Mourinho, while Besiktas announced earlier today that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer left the team.


It's interesting that both of 2 coaches have once been the boss of Manchester United.

In the recently concluded second leg of the UEFA Champions League play-off, Fenerbahçe lost 0-1 on aggregate to Benfica and missed out on this season's Champions League. Subsequently, Fenerbahçe announced the termination of its contract with José Mourinho.

Notably, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, who also once managed Manchester United, was sacked within 24 hours. In the just-concluded second leg of the UEFA Europa Conference League play-off, Besiktas lost 0-1 to Lausanne-Sport, and were eliminated from the competition with an aggregate score of 1-2. After the game, Solskjaer was fired.

Mourinho began coaching Manchester United in July 2016, was sacked in December 2018, after which Ole Gunnar Solskjaer took over as Manchester United's interim manager and was officially appointed in March 2019, but was sacked in November 2021.

The International Fund for Public Interest Media (IFPIM) and Media Reform Coordinating Group (MRCG), with support from BBC Media Action, on Thursday, August 28th, 2025, officially unveiled the media beneficiaries of the National Fund for Public Interest Media (NaFPIM).

A total of 14 media institutions across Sierra Leone were awarded grants in recognition of their meaningful contributions to strengthening the country’s media landscape and advancing the public interest.

Classic Media Empire Sierra Leone proudly stands among the beneficiaries, securing a grant of 2,500 U.S. dollars in support of its innovative approaches and commitment to shaping a vibrant, independent, and people-centered media environment.

A young man, identified as James Jabaty, was arrested, for impersonating a police officer in the Bo No. 2 Extension community.

Jabaty was apprehended while wearing a Police Operational Support Division (OSD) polo shirt, presenting himself as an officer, despite his notorious reputation as an impostor.

“Mohamed Kallon Secures First Win as Leone Stars Coach with 3-1 Victory Over Guinea-Bissau”

Mohamed Kallon began his tenure as the new head coach of Sierra Leone’s national team with an impressive 3-1 victory over Guinea-Bissau in the ongoing 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers. Goals from Mustapha Bundu, Musa Noah Kamara (*Tombo*), and Ibrahim Turay (*Computer*) sealed a crucial win for the Leone Stars at home.

Bundu opened the scoring in the 19th minute, giving Sierra Leone an early lead. Kamara doubled the advantage in the 61st minute, but Guinea-Bissau pulled one back through Monteiro in the 68th minute. However, Ibrahim Turay (*Computer*) put the game beyond doubt with a late goal in stoppage time (90+6).

With this result, Sierra Leone moves up to second place in the group with eight points from five matches, trailing only Egypt, who leads with ten points. The victory boosts Leone Stars' hopes of advancing in the qualifiers as they prepare for their next match against Egypt.
