N’yillah Elizabeth Cawray is carving out her niche with skill, determination, and passion for woodworking. She has always been fascinated by crafting and has being making beautiful pieces out of wood.

🎉 Exciting News! 🎉

I am thrilled to announce that I have been honored with the prestigious "Vickie Remoe Prize for Excellence in Reporting" for the second year in a row!

Last year, I was awarded the prize of 20,000 NLE
in the print category for my exceptional writing skills, and this year, I am proud to have won a prize of 30,000 NLE in the TV reporting category.

Receiving this award is a true testament to the dedication and passion I put into my work as a journalist. It is a humbling experience to be recognized for my contributions to multimedia journalism, and I am grateful for the opportunity to continue growing and evolving in this field.

I am truly grateful for the support and encouragement I have received throughout my journey as a journalist, and I look forward to continuing to push boundaries and tell impactful stories through my work.

🗣️The Vickie Remoe Prize highlights emerging journalists and new media content creators for excellence, originality, and creativity.

Winners will be selected and announced in April by a panel of Sierra Leonean professionals in news media and talent development.

The four award categories include news writing, photojournalism, broadcasting, and content creation. In each category, the number of prizes will be split between male (s) and female (s) applicants. If no man or woman submits a finalist application in one or more categories, the prize will roll over to the next year.

The maximum prize amount to be awarded for 2023-2024 is nLe. 200,000.

EIGHT CHARGED WITH CONSPIRACY TO COMMIT FELONY AND MANSLAUGHTER IN CONNECTION TO FGM DEATHS IN KAMBIA.

A significant development has ensued following the tragic death of two young girls in Bubuya and Kabailor villages in Kambia district, allegedly as a result of Female Ge***al Mutilation (FGM), eight individuals have been charged and brought to court for their alleged involvement in the incident. The 8 accused persons, comprising of two males and six females were brought to the Magistrate court in Kambia, all accused persons were with two count charges, of conspiracy to commit felony and manslaughter.
