๐ท MeeKelvin Doeeeean 18-year-old Sierra Leonean Whiz Kid and self-taught Engineer, who made his own generator and radio transmitter at age 13.
โ๐ฟAt the age of 16, he built a battery that is aimed at providing electricity to homes within his community, that have insufficient power.
โ๐ฟKelvin Doe aka "DJ Focus", became a self-taught Engineer at age 13. He built his own radio station in Sierra Leone. He uses scrap to build batteries, generators, and transmitters.
โ๐ฟHe was named in the 2016 Forbes 30 under 30 and Youngest MIT Participants.
โ๐ฟDoe subsequently was a speaker at TEDxTeen and lectured to undergraduate engineering students at Harvard College.
โ๐ฟ In May 2013, Doe signed a $100,000 solar project pact with Canadian High-Speed Service Provider Sierra WiFi.
โ๐ฟHe has had the chance to meet various leaders of the world including former US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, and Ghanaian President Nana Akufo-Addo. He has also been able to speak to young people in Africa on different platforms. In 2016, Kelvin Doe became an Honorary Board member of Emergency USA, an organization with a mission to provide free medical and surgical care to war victims and poverty victims.
โ๐ฟHe is now 26yr old, born 26 October 1996.
โ๐ฟDoe now owns and runs his own company K-Doe Tech, Inc, where he designs and sells consumer electronics. ยฉ
