The Economic and Commercial Counseling Center of the Embassy of Sierra Leone in Guangzhou, People's Republic of China, and the Ministry of Youth Affairs have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) aimed at empowering the youth of Sierra Leone. This significant agreement includes the provision of 500 electric cars, 1,000 bikes, 500 tricycles, and the establishment of a state-of-the-art facility for youth technical training on electric vehicles (EVs).

Minister Ibrahim Sannoh, in his statement, emphasized that this support is expected to foster economic growth and enhance the quality of living standards for the youth in Sierra Leone. He noted that the initiative aligns with the President's "Big 5" game changers focused on youth employment and human capital development.
The signing of this MOU reaffirms the long-standing and dynamic bilateral cooperation between Sierra Leone and China. Minister Sannoh stated, "It is the responsibility of us public officials to encourage responsible investment in Sierra Leone for our growing youth population."
