🚨🇸🇱 IN AUSTRALIA: HAWA FEFEGULA ALLEGEDLY ACCUSED OF ASSAULTING HER HUSBAND AFTER POLICE REPORT! 👀

Mrs. Hawa Fefegula is reportedly facing trouble in Australia after allegedly being accused of assaulting her husband, Simeon Fefegula.

According to the circulating account, Hawa allegedly contacted the police to report her husband, but the situation reportedly took an unexpected turn when authorities allegedly accused her of being the perpetrator in the alleged assault.

The development has sparked widespread reactions, particularly because the couple had recently appeared together on social media, seemingly dismissing rumours of problems in their marriage.

⚠️ Important: These claims have not been independently verified, and it remains unclear whether any formal charges have been filed. The allegations should therefore not be treated as established facts unless confirmed by Australian authorities or other credible sources.

🚨 : Admire Bio & Dausy Jalloh Take Magistrate Jah’s Ruling to High Court, Seek to Have Committal Quashed

By Joseph Moriba
Reporting from the Law Court Building, Siaka Stevens Street, Freetown
August 27, 2026

Lawyers representing Admire Francess Bio Jalloh and her husband, Dauda Jalloh, alias Alhaji Dausy, have escalated their legal battle to the High Court in Freetown, challenging Magistrate Brima Jah’s decision to commit the couple to stand trial on all 11 counts.

The couple remain on bail as the matter moves before the higher court.

Lead Defence Counsel, Melron C. Nicol-Wilson of Nicol-Wilson & Co. (Malaika Chambers), has filed an application seeking an Order of Certiorari to quash Magistrate Jah’s August 24, 2026 decision.

In their Originating Notice of Motion, the defence argues that the Magistrate erred in refusing their No-Case Submission and committing the accused persons to the High Court despite what they describe as an absence or insufficiency of prosecution evidence on the offences charged.

The defence is asking the High Court to quash the Magistrate’s decision and, as a consequence, discharge Admire Bio Jalloh and Dauda Jalloh forthwith.

The lawyers are also seeking an order staying further proceedings in the case pending the High Court’s determination of their application. If granted, this could prevent the prosecution from taking further steps toward a High Court trial, including the filing or preparation of an indictment.

At the heart of the application is the Magistrate’s treatment of the No-Case Submission filed by the defence on August 10. The submission reportedly challenged the prosecution’s evidence count by count, arguing that the evidence presented did not establish a sufficient case requiring the accused persons to proceed to trial.

The High Court will now be asked to determine whether Magistrate Jah’s decision should stand or be quashed.

The matter is now shaping up for another major legal showdown as the defence seeks to stop the case from proceeding to trial.

🚨🇺🇸 US SENATOR ACCUSES SIERRA LEONE OF BREACHING $1.6 MILLION DEPORTATION DEAL

Sierra Leone is facing fresh scrutiny in Washington after U.S. Senate Foreign Relations Committee Ranking Member Senator Jeanne Shaheen accused the country of violating provisions of an agreement to host and resettle third-country nationals deported from the United States.

Senator Shaheen said there is now “credible evidence” that Sierra Leone is failing to meet certain commitments under the agreement, despite receiving a $1.6 million U.S. grant to support implementation of the programme.

The allegation could put renewed focus on Sierra Leone’s cooperation with the United States on migration and deportation matters, as questions emerge over whether the terms of the agreement are being fully honored.

Meanwhile, Ambassador-designate Daniel Travis, speaking about Sierra Leone’s domestic political situation, acknowledged that he was not fully up to date on how far the government and opposition have progressed in implementing recommendations under the Agreement for National Unity (ANU).

Travis, however, pledged that advancing the agreement would be among his priorities when he assumes his diplomatic responsibilities in Freetown.

🇸🇱🇺🇸 The developments come as U.S.–Sierra Leone relations face increased attention over migration cooperation, governance and the implementation of national political commitments.
