First Lady Fatima Maada Bio has been evicted from her London council flat, ending years of her tenancy at the subsidised facility, according to a report by The Times, a UK-based media.

Her eligibility to hold the property had come under scrutiny after investigations by the Times and OCCRP found that the apartment was vacant as she had moved to Sierra Leone’s presidential lodge in Freetown.

The investigation subsequently prompted Southwark Council to act, ending the housing arrangement.

The First Lady hasn’t commented on the report.
