Mapotolon electricity is currently undergoing massive maintenance, and we are kindly seeking your financial support in any amount you can afford to help promote the livelihood of our only hometown.

There is an adage which says, “There's No place like home.” Therefore, we humbly ask you to help share this message widely so it can reach our brothers and sisters living abroad, enabling us to receive the needed assistance.

We are also calling on the Government, private sector institutions, and philanthropists to support us financially, particularly for diesel procurement and cable maintenance.

💔 OUR ROAD, OUR LIVELIHOOD — A CRY FOR HELP FROM MAPOTOLON 💔

We are crying out for help to the Government, NGOs, and kind-hearted individuals. The road linking Sierra Leone and Guinea through Mapotolon Section,the road that feeds our families is in a terrible condition.

This is the only road our people use to reach their farms. Beyond the bridge toward Guinea lies vast, fertile land owned by Sierra Leone,where many Sierra Leoneans struggle every day to grow food for their families and the nation. Today, that road is failing us. During the rains, it becomes nearly impossible to pass. Farmers are cut off. Produce goes to waste. Hunger and poverty grow.

This road is life to our community. It supports farming, trade, and contributes to government revenue. When the road is bad, our lives are harder. When the road is fixed, hope returns.

🙏 We are begging for urgent support.
Help us restore this road.
Help our farmers reach their land.
Help Mapotolon survive and grow.

The Ministry of Tourism and Cultural Affairs successfully hosted Kambia stakeholders in a nationwide Nature-Based Ecotourism Digital Training. The engagement inspired renewed commitment among participants to conserve and sustain the district’s rich ecotourism assets.

During the event, the Paramount Chief Member of Parliament highlighted Kambia’s unique historical and natural attractions, emphasizing their potential as economically viable tourism investments that can drive local development. Demonstrating his leadership and dedication, the Paramount Chief proudly signed the Ecotourism Pledge Banner, reaffirming his support for promoting sustainable tourism in Kambia District and Sierra Leone.

Other local stakeholders also joined in signing the pledge, marking a collective step toward positioning Kambia as a vibrant ecotourism destination. 🌿🌍

We are excited to announce that the Mapotolon Community Private Light System project is currently in progress, thanks to the generous sponsorship and support of Col. N'Namoray.

This project is a significant step towards improving the quality of life in our community by providing reliable light. It will not only brighten our homes but will also provide safety and extend productive hours for our community members.

However, as we embark on this transformative initiative, we seek further help. The operation of our light system requires consistent fueling with diesel for the machine.

We are therefore reaching out to all philanthropists and well-wishers in our community and beyond to assist us in any capacity they can. Contributions in the form of diesel or funds to purchase diesel would be highly appreciated.

Every contribution will bring us one step closer to realizing our goal of a well-lit Mapotolon community.
