1. Since Season 1, the Sierra Leone Muslims Got Talent has awarded over NLe 50,000 in cash prizes to participants.
2. No one has ever paid a single cent to participate in SLMGT. Unlike other talent shows, we’ve intentionally kept registration completely free to make it accessible to every talented Muslim youth.
3. SLMGT was founded and is run by young, passionate Muslims who are committed to seeing positive change in society.
They created this platform so Muslims can be celebrated, appreciated, and given the space to showcase their gifts.
4. Despite receiving little to no sponsorship, including lots of disappointments—especially compared to similar events in the country—SLMGT has continued to thrive. This resilience is something we should all be proud of as Muslims.
5. Many of you might not know this: every season, despite SLMGT being one of the most anticipated events, 30–40% of the audience is invited for free, just to ensure a full house and a vibrant crowd that boosts the morale and confidence of our participants.
Our CEO always used to say, "it's a win-win situation," because Dawah has always been our key focus—not money first.
6. As a relatively new initiative back then, the fact is, SLMGT could have ended long ago if not for the visionary leadership and sacrifices of One Deen Foundation. It still continues to grow, and the feedback from the audience proves how meaningful and impactful this event truly is.
7. Over the years, SLMGT has drastically improved by learning from experience. Today, participants understand the expectations and agree to the terms before applying.
8. SLMGT is not just a show—it’s a visionary platform that has stood the test of time and continues to evolve.
