*Consultative Conference Ends in Embarrassment as Designated NSA Act Reviewer Fails to Appear*

The so-called consultative conference organized by the Ministry of Sports ended on an embarrassing note after the designated lawyer, Mr. Ngevao, who was expected to lead the review of the National Sports Authority (NSA) Act, failed to appear. The absence of the lead reviewer has reinforced growing public suspicion that the Ministry’s attempt to sideline the NSA Executive Director, Dr. Emmanuel Saffa Abdulai, is faltering.

Stakeholders note that the lawyer’s refusal to participate may be a clear indication of the potential repercussions such a move could have brought upon the nation’s sporting landscape. Many believe the review process, as initiated, risked undermining the stability and progress the NSA has achieved under Dr. Abdulai’s leadership.

Observers are urging the Minister of Sports to act in a manner that protects and advances the President's legacy in sports. They recall the President’s trust in Dr. Abdulai’s efficiency, integrity, and dedication to rebuilding the credibility of the sector, qualities that have been instrumental in restoring respect and structure within sporting institutions.

Citizens and sports enthusiasts insist that any attempt to alter the NSA’s mandate must be transparent, inclusive, and aligned with national interest. They emphasize that the nation is paying close attention, and they will continue to inform the public whenever actions appear to jeopardize the progress made in sports governance.

The call remains clear: Sierra Leone’s sports sector must not be pushed into disarray, and all stakeholders must uphold ethical and accountable leadership.

*Concerns Raised Over NSA Act Review Amid Exclusion of Executive Director*

The ongoing review of the National Sports Authority (NSA) Act by the Ministry of Sports has sparked public concern and debate, with many citizens describing the process as unfair and potentially targeted. Stakeholders argue that the absence of Dr. Emmanuel Saffa Abdulai Esq., the Executive Director of the NSA, from this crucial review exercise raises serious questions about transparency and due process.

Observers believe that excluding the head of the Authority from reviewing the very Act that governs the institution undermines institutional integrity and could be interpreted as a deliberate attempt to sideline his leadership. They maintain that such actions are unacceptable in a governance system that values accountability, collaboration, and respect for statutory mandates.

Concerned citizens are therefore calling the attention of His Excellency the President to what they consider an unethical approach by the Ministry of Sports. They insist that any review of the NSA Act must be inclusive, lawful, and reflective of national interest rather than perceived personal or institutional conflicts.
