○ IMPORTANT UPDATE: Somalia E-Visa System Hacked
There are new warnings from the US and UK about a majodata breach in Somalia's electronic visa system.
At least 35,000 people's personal details may have been
leaked - including names, photos, dates of birth, emails
and home addresses.
Reports sav the hack may be linked to a group calling
itself Operation Birieex 2025". and some sources claim
the system had serious security flaws that made the data
easy to access. Somali authorities have not explained
what happened, but they have quietly moved the visa
service to a new website.

information may be at risk.
A The UK and US are advising people to think carefully
before entering any new data into the system
The situation has also increased tensions between
Somaliland and Somalia, with airlines and travellers stuck
between conflicting rules.
