Message to Those Undermining Somali Sovereignty. 🇸🇴 🇸🇴 🇸🇴 🇸🇴

I speak today as a Somali soldier — a son of this land — sworn to defend the unity, sovereignty, and dignity of Somalia.
To every foreign power, institution, or actor that believes Somalia can be pressured, divided, or reshaped to serve outside interests, hear this clearly.

○The Somali people are not weak.
○We are resilient.
○We are brave.

And we have never surrendered our identity.
Somalia is not an object to be negotiated behind closed doors, nor a territory to be divided through external influence. Our borders, our unity, and our future are matters decided by the Somali people alone.

Any attempt to undermine Somalia’s sovereignty, encourage fragmentation, or legitimize division under the cover of diplomacy or recognition will be rejected. You may draft agreements and make declarations, but you cannot erase the history written by Somali blood, resistance, and sacrifice.
Understand this: Somalia has faced collapse, war, and hardship — yet it has never lost its spirit. Our people have resisted colonization, occupation, and interference before, and we will do so again if required.

To those who think Somalia’s patience is weakness, you are mistaken. Patience is discipline. Silence is not surrender.
Somalia welcomes cooperation built on mutual respect. But we will never accept domination, manipulation, or imposed outcomes.

Our sovereignty is protected not only by soldiers, but by a people who refuse to be broken.

Somalia stands.
Somalia endures.
And Somalia will remain one.

At a moment when credible international rumors of Somaliland’s recognition are actively circulating, Somalia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity are under direct threat. This is not speculation. This is a live diplomatic risk with long-term consequences.

Yet instead of projecting national unity, some political actors have chosen to amplify internal disputes, publicly delegitimize state institutions, and fragment Somalia’s position at the worst possible time.

Let us be clear: no internal political grievance justifies weakening the state when its borders and legal existence are being challenged. Publicly undermining national legitimacy during an external threat is not principled opposition — it is strategic irresponsibility.

Recognition efforts succeed when a state appears divided, unstable, and incapable of speaking with one voice. Every public statement that questions Somalia’s authority today is being watched, noted, and potentially used by external actors pushing separatist agendas.

Elections, governance reforms, and constitutional debates matter — but they do not supersede sovereignty. Those issues can be resolved through lawful, institutional processes. Sovereignty, once compromised, cannot be negotiated back easily.
This is not about supporting a government.
This is about defending the state.

History will not remember who won an argument on social media. It will remember who stood firm when Somalia’s unity was under threat — and who chose division when unity was required.

This is not the time for political theater.
This is the time for discipline, restraint, and a unified national position.
