Just_In: Minister Deng Yel confirms Aweil News Agency’s participation in Governor’s reception

The State Minister of Information, Gabriel Deng Yel, has confirmed that Aweil News Agency will not be excluded from covering the official reception of the Governor of Northern Bahr el Ghazal State, H.E. Charles Madut Akol.

The Minister clarified that the Aweil News Agency is authorized to participate fully in the coverage of the reception, dismissing earlier concerns about the media’s exclusion.

We further wish to inform our readers that the official reception of Governor Charles Madut Akol is confirmed for Tuesday, while the advance team is scheduled to depart on Monday.

Dear beloved Aweilian and public,

As a result of fake information being circulated on the social media about the claimed strike planned to take place on December 1st 2025 spearheaded by Aweil state hospital's head of departments as wrongly narrated in the previous document shared on media platforms.
In response to the aforementioned fake strike, all the Departmental heads converted their selves clarification meeting regarding the strike which was framed by some individuals with their own hidden political agenda.
As per attached meeting attendance, the meeting was shared by DG as requested by undersigned departmental heads whose their names were countersigned by a person named Kuan Garang Arol who was found to be the strike organizer as it is indicated in the attached legal summon bearing kuan's name.
Resolutions of the meeting.
1. All undersigned departmental heads dismissed the planned strike and called this planned to white lie created by individuals with their hidden political agenda.
2. They assure the public they will remain committed to the services delivery to serve their communities.
3. All Departmental heads agreed to follow up this fake news through legal until they bring those who countersigned their name into the book of law.
Finally, State leadership led by H.E The Governor and State Ministry of Health, do understand the financial crisis that health workforces are undergoing, as a result of the unexpected delay of the incentive. Therefore we would like to assure the health care providers and public that state leadership will issue out the Government financial support as soon as possible.

BREAKING NEWS: Ateny Wek Ateny Appoints Ex-Rebel Chol Duang as Office Manager

The Minister of Information for South Sudan, Mr. Ateny Wek Ateny, has sparked fresh controversy after appointing former rebel and longtime critic, Chol Duang, as his new office manager.
