This morning on 28th-oct- 2025, A student by name Ayii Cinkoc shot himself in Wau- Western Bahr El Ghazal state. A source revealed to the Junub press that the gentleman has had some arguments with parents back home about the tuition fees to be paid in the University and that marked as the core of his suicidal decision. Justice for Gang R**e Case for 16-Year-Old Victim scheduled

Molana Josephine Adhet Deng, the defense lawyer for the victims, has confirmed that the hearing for the 13 suspects accused of gang ra**ng a 16-year-old girl in Sheirkat is set for October 1, 2025. In a statement to Citizens Voice Media, Josephine emphasized that the case will be processed by a mobile court at the police station where the suspects are currently detained.

"This case is vital in our ongoing battle against violence towards young women," she remarked, stressing the need for swift justice.

Former VC John Akec returns to the University of Juba as a lecturer teaching nearly 4 courses

Professor John Akec, the esteemed former Vice Chancellor of the University of Juba, has returned to the University, School of Computer Science as a lecturer taking Calculus Courses at the School of Computer Science Amidst Delays bringing a wealth of knowledge and experience to the students.

Akec a respected Scholar Known for his expertise in manufacturing, mechanical engineering, and artificial intelligence, is now teaching four calculus courses—two in the G.S. department and two general courses in the second year

The School of Computer Science faced delays in starting its normal lectures due to a shortage of lecturers, prompting the return of Akec to fill the gap. Students have expressed their joy and gratitude for their former VC's commitment to their education, praising his dedication and teaching prowess.

School of Computer Science commences lectures in late July this late start made students not participate in exams alongside other schools, which began their exams on Monday, September 15, 2025, with the Computer Science school to do its own exams separately.

Anyar Control resigned as president of the Aweil South Football team in Juba.

The president of the Aweil South County football team in Juba resigned minutes after the team lost to Raja in the BCPT 1st Edition.

Control has been in charge as the team’s president during the Aweil Martyrs’ Tournament in Juba.

This is not the first loss for the Aweil South football team; they were defeated in the final of Aweil Peace Tournament by Aweil East, 2-0, and were defeated again by Twic Mayardit, 1-0, in the BCPT, and today by Raja, 2-0, in the BCPT.

According to the facebook post, Anyar said no one has understood his role as president of the Aweil south County Football team in Juba. “I’m here take this golden opportunity to tell the community of Aweil south that I personal Anyar kuol Aduor kuol aka Control has resigned from a position of being a president of Aweil South Football Association in juba from today,because I have been trying my best to be serious but no one has ever understood that.” The post read
