Former Twic Commissioner resigns from SPLM-IO
The Former Commissioner of Twic County, Warrap State, Deng Tong Goch, has tendered his official resignation from the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement/Army in Opposition (SPLM/A-IO) citing deep political disillusionment, tribalism, and what he described as the party’s failure to address internal injustices, Goch calls for a departure from what he terms “myopic tribal politics.”

He addressed the letter to SPLM-IO Chairman Dr. Riek Machar and emphasized the need to “focus on a free life” after years of political struggle.

The letter also criticizes the SPLM-IO’s internal handling of political detentions and its role in ongoing conflicts.

This is the first cup of it kind between Twic of Warrap State and Twic East of Jonglei State.

Police arrests gangs who attempts to r**e old woman

In Tonj South County the security personnel apprehended gangs behind r**e attempt on elderly woman last night in Adiya near the house of Deng Nhial. In that tragic incident, the criminals burn part of the woman's body and also cut her hand before the security forces intervene.

The Tonj Authority confirms that several suspects and cattle raiders have also been arrested and must be investigated.
