The administration of Bor County Wrestling Association has officially confirmed, through an official press conference, that its wrestlers will not be allowed to practice at the New-Site Wrestling field until further notice. The group has also accused Martin Markur, the chairman of GBWA, who is rumored to hold a high-ranking position in the National Security Services, of abusing his powers to intimidate opponents.
Makur is alleged to have threatened Bor County, demanding that they either face his Bahr el Ghazal team or refrain from using the New-Site field altogether.
Last week, the leadership of the Mundari Wrestling Association withdrew its members from the same field for reasons that remain unknown. This morning, the Twi East Wrestling Association also confirmed through a press conference that they are relocating their wrestlers out of the city, seemingly in response to intimidation, as they would have to face the entire region if they continued practicing.
It is uncertain whether the Bhar el Ghazal Wrestling Association will be conducting its practice sessions exclusively within Juba, as their primary competitors have decided to withdraw. In April, the Chairman, who is now embroiled in controversy, imposed a ban on Yirol West from facing Yirol East at the New-Site field, as there were allegations of potential clashes due to continuous training. Fortunately, the situation was rescued when the Mundari and Bor teams joined the field and began practicing alongside the united Yirol team.
