Denying the AU Panel of the Wise and Kenyan Special Envoy access to Dr. Riek Machar are also positive steps toward achieving a lasting peace in South Sudan. In fact this does not undermine Dr. Riek Machar in any capacity, instead it undermines the bilateral relationships and efforts of the appointing authorities of these panels. So, Dr. Riek and all the peace lovers, who want to see an end to the conflict, should not be disappointed more than the appointing authorities of the countries which sent their Special Envoy and the Panel of the Wise to provide the most needed solutions to the conflicts.
The reason this conflict has taken so long is because the government of Salva Kiir was never honest from the onset. Instead of calling a spade a spade, they have been calling the spade a big spoon. Their use of propaganda and pretense to want peace, when they know they don't, confused the hell out of every citizen, region, African Union, TROIKA and the International community.
Imagine what could have happened if Salva Kiir chose to be honest on December 16, 2013 and tell the truth that no coup was attempted on his government. Instead if he could have told the world that it was him who was trying to arrest Dr. Riek Machar, Rebecca Nyandeang, Pagan Amum, Deng Alor and other senior officials for trying to force him to organize an election at a time he would have lost the SPLM primaries. If he could have admitted that he trained a private militia to conduct a door-to-door massacre of the Nuer and other tribes that stood to oppose him, and many others.... These could have united all the fronts that were confused and divided; however, it's never too late.
All the ugly truth that was pumped out on X by the son of Museveni and during the burial of late Gen David Majur are the true manuscript of what is cooking in J1. Instead of disregarding or condemning them, use them.
Just that in small script!
