A Heartfelt Thanksgiving After My Accident 🙏🏿
First and foremost, I give all glory, honor, and thanks to Almighty God for preserving my life and giving me the strength to recover after the accident I recently survived in Bar Naam, Rumbek East County.
It was a frightening moment, but God was with me even when I could not help myself. After the accident, I was left lying on the road for more than thirty minutes, alone and without anyone by my side. But at the right time, God sent someone to find me.
I would like to sincerely and publicly appreciate Kurchok Malou Majok-Adol, the man who found me lying on the road. He did not ignore me or pass me by. He stopped, came to my aid, and took me to Aduel so that I could receive medical attention. Kurchok, may God richly bless you for your humanity, courage, and compassion. You became an instrument through which God helped save my life.
I also want to deeply appreciate the women who found me and prayed for me during that difficult moment. Their prayers and words gave hope when the situation looked frightening. They prayed with strong faith, saying:
"There is nothing bad that will ever happen in Bar Naam here, nothing at all."
Those words have remained in my heart. I believe that prayer, faith, and the grace of God carried me through.
To everyone who has stood with me since the accident — my family, friends, relatives, colleagues, well-wishers, neighbors, and everyone who has prayed for my recovery — I sincerely thank you.
I am especially grateful for the 265 phone calls I have received from the time of the accident up to now. Every call, every message, every prayer, every visit, and every word of encouragement has reminded me that I am not alone. I may not be able to personally return every call or thank every individual one by one, but please know that I have seen your love, I have felt your concern, and I will never take it for granted.
This experience has reminded me how precious life is and how important it is
