Our CEO and host of Deeper Conversations, Willma Grace, had the privilege of engaging with young people and sharing her journey, from where Willma started, the challenges that shaped her, the milestones achieved, and the vision she continues to pursue.

Through her conversation on “How Narrative Influences Identity and Possibility,” she reminded young people that the stories we believe about ourselves have the power to shape our confidence, identity, and future.

The session was enriched by Atem Dau Majok ,who shared valuable insights on the power of networking and the importance of building meaningful connections that create opportunities.

Chief Executive Officer of WG Media Group South Sudan, Willma Grace, proudly represented South Sudan on a continental platform, highlighting the vital role of the media in empowering young people, driving positive change, and shaping a stronger and more prosperous Africa.

In recognition of her outstanding contribution to youth engagement in diplomacy, strategic partnerships, and empowering students to participate in the International Diplomatic Leadership Conference for Emerging Leaders in African and Global Affairs in Accra, Ghana, Willma Grace was awarded a Certificate of Merit by the Africa Young Diplomats Forum (AYDF CIC).

As a journalist and media professional, this recognition reaffirms the power of media as a strategic instrument of soft diplomacy.

Africa Day 2026 Nairobi, Kenya
Held on 25 May 2026 in Nairobi, Kenya, Africa Day 2026 brought together leaders, diplomats, journalists, youth representatives, business leaders, and civil society organizations from across the continent to celebrate African unity, cooperation, and sustainable development.

The event was held under the theme “Sixty‑three (63) Years of Unity, Integration and Development, let's celebrate together"

Among the distinguished participants was Willma Grace, a South Sudanese journalist and CEO of WG Media Group, who represented South Sudan's media community at the continental gathering. Her role included covering the event, engaging with African leaders and diplomats, and amplifying South Sudan's voice in discussions on regional cooperation, youth empowerment, and the role of the media in advancing Africa's development.

Willma Grace's participation reflected South Sudan's growing presence in continental dialogue and underscored the vital role of journalism in promoting unity, informed public discourse, and Africa's collective progress.
