Ethiopia was the only African country successful to resist European colonization.

Women marched alongside men to the battle at Adwa in 1896. Just like their men, Ethiopian women were ready to sacrifice themselves to prevent colonialists from sneaking into their country, thus forcing their children to live in servitude.

When the Warrap people torn Dr. Benjamin, like an animal being feasted on by wolves, the Aweil people were accomplices in bringing down their person. There’s no doubt that it was sponsored by the First Family itself to remove Dr. Bol Mel from the seat.

The same people they used to discredit Dr. Bol Mel, so as to shape public perception about him, are the same people who have started their vilification against Amb. Monica Achol. That will not be the same. For us people of Yirol, we stand in solidarity and defence of our daughter!! If it means going against Salva Kiir, his daughter Adut, and the entire first family, we have the capacity to do so without compromise.

A few years ago, President Salva had repeatedly blamed the stale of the construction of Bar el Gazhal road on Hon. Deng Athorbei, even when facts say contrary. Now, we are following the situation keenly as a community of Yirol.

In a surprise move, President Salva Kiir Mayardit on Monday evening issued presidential decrees relieving several senior government officials from their positions and appointing new officials to replace them.

Officials Relieved:
1. Dak Duop Bichiok, Minister of Public Service and Human Resources Development

2. Angelina Jany Teny, Minister of Interior

3. James Hoth Mai, Minister of Labour

4. Nadia Arop Dudi, Minister of Culture, Museums and National Heritage

5. Rin Tueny Mabor, Governor of Lakes State

6. James Tor Monybuny,Deputy Governor of Upper Nile State

7. Gen. Thoi Chany Reat,

New Appointments:

1. Ezekiel Lol Gatkuoth, Minister of Public Service and Human Resources Development

2. Aleu Ayieny Aleu, Minister of Interior

3. Anthony Lino Makan, Minister of Labour

4. Sarah Nyanath Elijah, Minister of Culture, Museums and National Heritage

5. Madhang Majok Meen, Governor of Lakes State
