THE REASONS WHY MANY SHOWS HAVE TURNS UPSIDE DOWN
A Must Read Post:
The tickets of all these recent events were precisely expensive for the fans, at least we need to learn how to cope with things accordingly and know how our economic back home is affecting us. The grueling situation that our communities are experiencing daily ( Particularly The Nuer People ) They are struggling so bad just to make their ends meet, at least the events organizers or the artistes need to be picky and curious about their expenses, so that they should not expect more from the fans just because they have overspent negligently.
Musicians should always prioritize their love for the fans over their love for money ( A strong fan base is everything one could ever need ) that’s why a lot of you need to consider those fans that always fight on your behalves here on social media just to defend you, at least try to choose two or more from the serious fans and give them some free tickets to appreciate their support and other will probably be moved by your act of kindness and humanity.
A generous hand always receives more, by expressing appreciation to one fan, others will also feel valued. Music is more than just singing; today’s world needs well-mannered and caring artists who possess humility.
To be honest, Concerts are the last option for the artistes to make more money with, you should not rely on them because they are very costly and tricky too.
Music Royalties, Endorsements and Advertisements are some of the best ways to make more money as a musician. There are a lot of up coming businesses and companies that need to be heard and wants someone to boost their sales, so as an artiste your team should focus on getting you connected to these companies as their brand ambassador or marketing agency, or let it be known that you’re open for ( Jingle, EPK and music branding ) there’s no shame in making money, even if it’s advertising local products go for it. Big companies will see your impacts on these small scale businesses and they will probably come for you.
Last but not least, I appeal to my fellow artistes to always stay humble and focus on their careers. Avoid online beefs, yes you can get the attention of people through that but you will probably lose respect and good reputation and no one wants to work with someone that is lacking manners. So my fellow artistes always think before you act and believe in yourself, you don’t need beef to blow up otherwise it will be a short time spark.
You should know that music is a long journey and it’s a business, you need to have a clean brand because you are an inspiration to the young ones and someone’s role model out there, so don’t be the reason why someone’s losing the right direction. Let’s make a beautiful and respectful Naath Music Industry that will be uniting our communities and pave the way for our brothers and sisters who are having dreams of joining music which is free from chaos, disses, confrontation and cyber bullying. Let’s embrace healthy competition rather than creating feuds against our rivals.
Lastly, we need to know that there will always be shadows and sunshine in our days. profits and losses, we should not mock someone for that it’s just part of life that no one can escape, Every loss endured today will become a greater gain tomorrow. just because only few turns up today it doesn’t mean that it will always gonna be like that. Adjust those mistakes, learn from them and use them for your next move, Keep grinding.
So, let’s do our part and try our best regardless, keeping the fire burning for the love of our people (NAATH) and all of South Sudan.
