The Managing Director of Malualda News MN is asking people of good will to help him find his media tripod which he lost early this morning.

MD says he forgettingly left the tripod in the Rickshaw [Gudele-Customs transport] while rushing to cover the game of Aweil North and Yirol East.

The tripod is shown in the picture attached below.

Uganda electoral commission clears Museveni for 2026 presidential race

The Electoral Commission of Uganda on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, confirmed the nomination of President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni as a candidate for the 2026 presidential election.

Justice Byabakama Mugenyi Simon, the Returning Officer for Presidential Nominations, declared that Museveni had met all requirements under the Presidential Elections Act, Cap 179.

Museveni, 81, was the first candidate to be cleared by the commission. His National Resistance Movement (NRM) party has endorsed him once again as its flag bearer. This follows his June announcement, when he picked nomination forms at the NRM headquarters in Kyadondo and confirmed he would seek another term.

The president has been in power since 1986, making him one of Africa’s longest-serving leaders.

Aweil Commerce Chambers appreciates National Chambers of Commerce for Wieu Wieu's appointment as 2nd Deputy Chairperson

The Chambers of Commerce in the Northern Bahr el Ghazal State expressed their utmost appreciation to the president of South Sudan National Chambers of Commerce Lukak Losidik Legge for appointing Mr. Wieu Wieu as the 2nd Deputy president deputising him.

In an official statement addressed to the office of the President of National Chambers of Commerce, Deng Makol Athian, Chairperson of NBGs' Chambers of Commerce acknowledged Wieu's capability to execute the tasks assigned to him by the Chairperson.

"Mr. Wieu Wieu is the right candidate for this position and a man of business credentials and capability to deliver to the best of his knowledge in attaining the set goals and objectives as assigned to him," the statement partly reads.

While expressing heartfelt, NBGs' Chambers of Commerce pledges their commitment to rally behind the newly appointed 2nd Deputy president of South Sudan National Chambers of Commerce.

Media uncovers identity of “Generator Operator” among Riek’s co-accused

The media has revealed the identity of Dominic Gatgok Riek, one of the eight individuals standing trial alongside suspended First Vice President Dr. Riek Machar Teny and seven other SPLM-IO members at Freedom Hall.

During the second session of the proceedings, Gatgok introduced himself as the eighth accused, serving as a mechanical engineer responsible for operating a generator in the Office of the suspended First Vice President.

Further investigations confirmed that the 27-year-old is not a senior political or military figure, but rather a generator operator.

Gatgok, a South Sudanese national, is unmarried and resides in Wazaraat (Ministries). He is multilingual, speaking Nuer, English, and colloquial Arabic.
