The national minister of Livestock and Fisheries, Hon. Onyoti Adigo Nyikwec is in Malakal to Celebrate Christmas and the New Year festival.

The minister arrived on Saturday afternoon and was received at Malakal Airport by H.E. James Odhok Oyay, governor of Upper Nile State.

Hon. Onyoti Adigo's initiative to celebrate Christmas in Malakal is of utmost importance as it instills hope and optimism for peace among the people, at a time when the government is aiming to restore a sense of normalcy and unity in the state.

Kwong Dak arrives in Malakal

December 23, 2023— Malakal

His Majesty Reth Kwongo Dak Padiet, the reigning King of the Shilluk Kingdom, has arrived in Malakal en route to Fashoda, the kingdom's headquarters, after a year in the national capital, Juba.

His Excellency James Odhok Oyay, the governor of Upper Nile State, along with community leaders, welcomed the king at Malakal Airport.

In a statement to the media, the King conveyed his Christmas wishes for peace, security, and stability to the people of Upper Nile State and thanked the governor and his government for his reception.
The king also urged politicians to never again engage in fighting as Upper Nile needs peace now than ever before.

The arrival of His Majesty Reth Kwong Dak Padiet in Upper Nile State is anticipated to bring about much-needed peace and stability to the Chøllø kingdom and the entire region....!!

Finance and Planning Ministry initiates salary payments for civil servants

The Ministry of Finance and Planning has announced the initiation of salary payments for public servants, organized forces, and foreign missions. The payments, starting from Thursday, 14th December 2023, prioritize the welfare of citizens.

In this phase, salaries for the month of August will be disbursed to civil servants and organized forces at the national, state, and administrative levels. Diplomats in foreign missions will also receive salaries for August and an additional month from the arrears.
