The South Sudan National Police Service has deployed over 4,000 personnel to secure the 14th Independence Day celebrations on 9 July 2025, the state-run SSBC TV reported. Inspector General of Police, General Abraham Manyuat Peter, called on the public to cooperate with security forces during the festivities to maintain peace and order.

General Manyuat emphasized the police commitment to protecting civilians and their property, urging communities to work alongside law enforcement agencies. The deployed forces, drawn from various units including the army, will focus on securing the city's outer perimeter to ensure a safe environment for all attendees.

This large-scale deployment reflects heightened security measures ahead of the national holiday, aiming to prevent criminal activities and safeguard public gatherings throughout the celebrations.

GYU-Ju would like to thank the Lakes state coordinator and his team for bringing an end to over two years of wrangling between GYU-Ju and CCFF on July 6, 2025.
And on the other hand, GYU-Ju takes this opportunity to thanks the former CCFF management headed by Mr. Senator Makhol and his team for the tremendous work and sacrifices made to uplift the Cueibet football team to a new height in Lakes State, Bahr el Gazal, and South Sudan at Large, as they have made key notable achievements include taking the Cueibet football team to the final at Lakes State Olympic and pitching our players well that brought regional and national admiration of the Cueibet Football team.
As they step aside, we wish them the best in their aspirations and their next community service.
