On behalf of the TMYAD Independent Electoral Committee leadership and all stakeholders involved, I extend my deepest appreciation and heartfelt gratitude to the members of IEC for their outstanding work in organizing and overseeing the recently concluded youth elections. I applaud the youth of Twic Mayardit for exercising democratic values.

Your commitment to transparency, fairness, and integrity has ensured that the electoral process was conducted in a manner that reflects the highest democratic standards. Voter engagement and the meticulous counting of ballots—your diligence and professionalism - have been evident every step of the way.

My sincere thanks to all external and internal observers for their tireless efforts, the election was not only free and fair but also peaceful and inclusive. You have upheld the principles of democracy and provided all candidates and voters with a platform where every voice could be heard and every vote counted.

This success is a testament to your competence, impartiality, and unwavering dedication to duty. We are truly proud of the exemplary manner in which we all carried out this important responsibility.

Twic Mayardit football team appeals for financial assistance

The President of Twic Mayardit Football Team, Charles Chol Mel, and the team Secretary General, Machel Deng Keragany, have extended heartfelt appreciation to all fans and supporters for their unwavering moral and financial support throughout the Warrap State Peace Tournament (WSPT) and the Bahr el Ghazal Counties Peace Tournament (BCPT).

In their message, the management praised the unity and encouragement shown by supporters, acknowledging that it was a driving force behind the team’s remarkable success.

They also appealed for assistance to help return players to their respective locations, some being students, as well as to cover medical expenses for injured players.

Furthermore, the management requested financial support to facilitate the homecoming of the two trophies from Kuajok, the Warrap State capital, to Twic Mayardit, where celebrations will continue in honor of their ancestors.

They emphasized that the Juba celebration will take place after the trophies are first taken home, noting that “victory tastes sweeter when celebrated at home.”

President Charles Chol also extended warm appreciation to fans in Wau, across Warrap State, the six payams of Twic Mayardit and the diaspora for their steadfast support and encouragement throughout the tournaments.
