A South Sudanese student studying at Ashesi University in Ghana, who was robbed on the 16th of May in Konyokonyo, Juba city, while heading to the airport to travel back to Ghana, has recovered her documents and personal belongings at the Malakia Police Station.

Miss Jackline Yom Ajoh Majok, a Class of 2028, who spent her holidays in South Sudan, was robbed on Saturday, the 16th of May, by some young men while on her way to the airport to return to Ghana for her studies.

Speaking to HOSS, Yom confirmed that her stolen passport, IDs, PC, and other documents were recovered today at the Police station, and the thieves have been arrested.

‘’Yes, after receiving calls from the Police. I have confirmed all the documents, and they’re mine." Yom told Heart of South Sudan.
Despite her iPad being sold by the thieves, the Police authorities assured Yom that efforts are underway to trace the buyer as soon as possible.

"I found my IDs, passport, as well as my laptop. I didn't get the money, but that's not the problem.’’ She added, "The suspects were arrested by the Police on Sunday night, around 2 am, according to the police".

Yom appreciated the public, a Facebook friend who requested anonymity, local media outlets, and the Police authorities for their professionalism, swift response, and efforts in helping her secure her belongings.

: “No one appreciates himself, but today I must appreciate myself. If I had accepted the 505 million US dollars offered by President Omar al-Bashir to stop the referendum, we would have swallowed the country. Because I rejected that money, the people of South Sudan achieved their freedom and independence.”

- President Salva Kiir Mayardit made the remark at Juba National Stadium.
