TMPT in Egypt semifinal's games have been paused following the Turalei rejection of the elimination after the three teams in group A tie the points.
✅As group stage matches completed, TMPT made a semifinal draw with Turalei being eliminated due to fewer goals scored after both teams shared the same points. Turalei was drawn in group A with Ajak Kuac and Aweng.
Both teams played their respective matches as follows;
1. Turalei 0-2 Ajak Kuac
2. Ajak Kuac 1-3 Aweng
3. Aweng 0-2 Turalei
Results:
1. Ajak Kuac 3 points, 3 goals scored, 1 goal conceded.
2. Aweng 3 points, 3 goals scored, 3 goals conceded.
3. Turalei 3 points, 2 goals scored, 2 goals conceded.
According to TMPT, they applied FIFA rules in tiebreak in which they used more goals, scored rules, neglecting the goals conceded, and therefore, they ruled out Turalei in group stage A ruling that didn't sit well with Turalei, leading to condemnation and rejection of verdict.
✅As of the same scenario, 2022 TMPT in Juba during Abraham Nyuol term, Turalei, Wunrok, and Ajak Kuac were drawn in group B. Ajak Kuac and Turalei were held tie in. Same points as follows;
1. Wunrok 3-1 Turalei
2. Turalei 1-1 Ajak Kuac
3. Ajak Kuac 0-2 Wunrok
Results:
1. Wunrok 6 points, 5 goals scored, and 1 goal conceded
2. Turalei 1 point, 2 goals scored, 3 goals conceded.
3. Ajak Kuac 1 point, 1 goals scored, 3 goals conceded.
Ajak Kuac was later ruled out due to fewer goals scored (1) compared to Turalei with 2 goals. The tournament continued, and Turalei later lost the final 3-2 to Wunrok.
