France Tested Its Atomic Bomb on Black Soldiers — Captain Ibrahim Traoré of Burkina Faso Exposes a Dark Chapter of Colonial History

In a bold and chilling revelation, Captain Ibrahim Traoré, the transitional President of Burkina Faso, has accused France of testing atomic weapons on Black African soldiers during its colonial reign—a claim that reignites fierce debates about unpunished colonial crimes and systemic exploitation.

According to Traoré, African soldiers—loyal to the French colonial army—were deliberately exposed to nuclear radiation during atomic tests in the Algerian Sahara in the 1960s.

These soldiers, mostly from West African nations like Mali, Burkina Faso, Niger, and Senegal, were allegedly used as “human test subjects” to study the effects of nuclear explosions on the human body.

France conducted 17 nuclear tests in Algeria between 1960 and 1966, starting with the Gerboise Bleue test—their first successful atomic bomb detonation.

Reports from independent researchers and declassified French documents have long hinted at the presence of Black soldiers near ground zero—without adequate protection or warning.

Many of these soldiers suffered mysterious illnesses, infertility, and early deaths, yet their stories were erased from official records. Compensation was minimal or non-existent. Their families remain in the dark, generations later.

Captain Traoré's statement is not just a denunciation—it’s a call to confront uncomfortable truths.

He urges African nations to stop idolizing their oppressors and start documenting and demanding justice for the invisible wounds left by colonial experiments.

This is no longer about past grievances—it’s about present courage and future justice.

🔥 John Garang’s Prophecy – A Warning Ignored? 🔥

"Our blood will be shed because I hate oppression and marginalization of our people... but I'll not even enjoy the fruits of this struggle. After our job is done, that generation will take over; they will cut a large piece of land with pangas and sell it cheaply for a bottle of beer."
— Dr. John Garang de Mabior

These words, spoken by the father of South Sudan’s liberation, ring hauntingly true today. Garang fought for freedom, unity, and justice—yet decades later, we see his fears unfolding:

✔ Land Grabbing & Corruption – Ancestral lands sold off for pennies while leaders grow rich.
✔ Betrayal of the Struggle – The sacrifices of martyrs forgotten as greed divides the nation.
✔ A Lost Generation – Youth abandoned, traded for short-term gains instead of nation-building.

Garang’s vision was NOT for a South Sudan ruled by selfish elites, but for a nation where all people thrive. Are we letting his dream die?

✊ It’s time to wake up! Hold leaders accountable. Fight for justice. Honor the blood shed for our freedom.

📢 Share if you believe South Sudan deserves better!

🚨 MSF strongly condemns the bombing of its hospital in Old Fangak, Jonglei State

Jonglei State, SOUTH SUDAN (May 3, 2025) – Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) strongly condemns the bombing of its hospital in Old Fangak, South Sudan. The attack began at around 4:30 a.m. when two helicopter gunships first dropped a bomb on the MSF pharmacy, burning it to the ground, then went on to fire on the town of Old Fangak for around 30 minutes. At around 7 a.m., a drone bombed the Old Fangak market. There have been at least seven deaths and 20 injured.

Mamman Mustapha, MSF Head of Mission in South Sudan, said, “At 8 a.m., we received around 20 wounded people at our hospital in Old Fangak, including four in a critical condition. There are reports of more fatalities and wounded in the community. One patient and two caregivers, including one of our staff, who were already inside the hospital were injured in the bombing -patients who were not in a critical condition ran from the facility. The bombing of our hospital in Old Fangak has resulted in significant damage, including the complete destruction of the pharmacy, which was burned to the ground. This is where all our medical supplies for the hospital and our outreach activities were stored, severely compromising our ability to provide care. We strongly condemn this attack, which took place despite the geolocations of all MSF structures, including Old Fangak Hospital, being shared with all parties to the conflict."

Old Fangak Hospital is the only hospital in Fangak County, serving a population of over 110,000 people who already had extremely limited access to healthcare. We are still assessing the full extent of the damage and the impact on our ability to provide care, but this attack clearly means people will now be even further cut off from receiving life-saving treatment.

We call on all parties to the conflict to protect civilians and civilian infrastructure – this includes health workers, patients, and health facilities.
