Security Alert on Bor- Juba highway ⚠️ 📢
A number of cars felt into an ambush a few minutes ago on the bridge at the vicinity of Mogiri town. One car veered off the road and could be seen in the field, and passengers got scattered into the nearby bushes. The other car was shot at, but people were safe. The driver manager to drive through the ambush.
A lorry was also attacked, but the driver was safe.
The people who witnessed the incident describe a large number of people on both sides of the highway.
Please, if you would be using the road in the next 48 hours, try to move in a convoy.
The highway patrol has managed to es**rt a number of vehicles that gather at the bridge roadblock to the aerial, and we are out of danger zone.

President Salva Kiir has promoted Vice President Benjamin Bol Mel from Lieutenant General to the rank of General in the army.

With this promotion, he becomes one of the few active generals, joining the CDF, IGP, Director General of Prisons, Director General of Wildlife Services, and the Director Generals of the Internal Security Bureau (ISB) and General Security Bureau (GIB) of the NSS.
