QUOTE OF THE DAY: “I want to thank the people of Madiing Aweil—the elders, women, children and youth—for their nature.

In Aweil, people have nothing to do with this nonsense of communal conflict. They are busy with activities that sustain life at home.

People argue with their mouths, not through fighting. They are not lazy; they keep themselves busy and listen to their elders. There is no time for jealousy in Aweil. They compete for development, not over positions.

Why can’t we learn from this spirit, my people?
We must stop fighting the people of Warrap State. It is a great shame to us.”

— H.E. Amb. Bol Wek Agoth, Governor of Warrap State
