Pap Smoke Leaves Juba for Medical Treatment in Nairobi

Twic Mayardit footballer Pap Chol, popularly known as Pap Smoke, has travelled from Juba to Nairobi, Kenya, to receive further medical treatment following injuries sustained during the violence at Munuki Playground on 16 August.

Pap was reportedly attacked after the Bahr el Ghazal Counties’ Tournament match between Twic Mayardit and Cueibet, which ended 1–1. He sustained injuries to his neck and other parts of his body and was briefly unconscious.

Pap has thanked everyone for their prayers, support, and encouragement, particularly the management of the Twic Mayardit Football Team.

He remains hopeful of a full recovery and returning to football after completing his treatment and receiving medical clearance.

He has also appealed to the public to continue praying for him during his recovery in Nairobi.

Agel Ring Machar Pledges Solar Power Support for Pannyok PHCC

Former Press Secretary in the Office of the First Vice President, Mr. Agel Ring Machar, has pledged to install a solar power system at Pannyok Payam Primary Health Care Centre (PHCC).

The commitment, announced through Mr. Adhar Bol Awak, Spokesperson of the Political Parties Youth Forum, was made during a youth-led fundraising event aimed at improving healthcare services and medical supplies in Pannyok Payam.

The proposed solar system will provide reliable electricity to power medicine refrigerators, protect essential drugs, and support laboratory equipment used for patient testing.

The initiative is expected to strengthen healthcare delivery and improve access to essential medical services for the local community.

PUBLIC UPDATE & APPEAL FOR SUPPORT

Supporting Arual Ring Majok and Her Three Surviving Children
23 August 2026

The Twic Mayardit Community Association–Nairobi extends its heartfelt appreciation to everyone who has supported Arual Ring Majok and her children through prayers, donations, and encouragement during this difficult period.

Arual was admitted to Kenyatta University Teaching, Referral and Research Hospital (KUTRRH), Nairobi, in April 2026 following a high-risk pregnancy. She gave birth prematurely to quadruplets, who received intensive medical care and remained under hospital care for about three months.

Sadly, one of the four children passed away on 10 August 2026. We are grateful that Arual and her three surviving children are currently doing well. However, they remain in hospital as the outstanding medical bills must be cleared before discharge.

With the generous support of an anonymous well-wisher, individuals, groups, communities, and organizations, KSh 4.62 million (approximately US$35,000) has already been paid toward the hospital account.

After discussions with the hospital management, the bill for the child who passed away was reduced from KSh 3 million to KSh 1.62 million.

The family still requires KSh 2.8 million to settle the remaining obligations, including KSh 1.2 million needed for the discharge of Arual and her three surviving children.

We humbly appeal to the South Sudanese community, friends, organizations, and well-wishers to continue supporting this family. Every contribution can help bring Arual and her children closer to returning home.

DONATION – M-PESA:

For inquiries: +254 757 186 260

Your prayers and support are deeply appreciated.
