Student Voices Frustration Over Postponed Exams Amid Machar Court Hearing

A student at the University of Juba has expressed frustration over the postponement of exams, citing disruptions caused by the ongoing court hearing of Dr. Riek Machar Teny.

The student criticized both President Salva Kiir Mayardit and Mr Machar, saying they have โ€œsubjected them to suffering due to war and again subjected them to postponed examsโ€ following the closure of the Western Campus Customs-UoJ area.

The student also raised concerns about personal expenses, asking, โ€œWho will compensate my transport money?

University of Juba has cancelled todayโ€™s exams due to movement restrictions around Freedom Hall, where the trial of suspended First Vice President Riek Machar is set to begin.

Riek Machar faces treason and other charges, accused of ordering attacks on an SSPDF base in Nasir last March that left more than 200 soldiers and a general dead.
