Aweil West football Team rejected the call from BCPT

Letter of Rejection to the Call of Meeting.

To:BCPT Technical Committee Management

Subject: Response to Meeting Call

Dear , BCPT technical committee management,

On 5th September 2025, the BCPT Technical Committee issued a resolution letter to both Yirol West and Aweil West concerning the incident that occurred. According to BCPT, SSFF, and FIFA rules and regulations, Yirol West was found to have violated Rule No. 6 and Article 78 of the SSFA/SSFF and FIFA laws, which states in consideration of Article 64, any team whose players, officials, members, or supporters cause the continuation of a match to be impossible due to chaos shall lose the match.

Following this, the BCPT Technical Committee rightfully declared Aweil West County the winner with a 0–2 result and confirmed Yirol West County eliminated.

Furthermore, according to football regulations, there are no provisions allowing an eliminated team to sit for a meeting regarding the same incident unless such a request is lodged within 24 hours, which in this case, did not happen.

Therefore, as the management of Aweil West Football Team in Juba, we respectfully reject the call for a meeting, as we see no valid reason for it. We remain committed to following BCPT, SSFF, and FIFA rules and regulations as guiding principles for fair play.

At the same time, we wish to emphasize that Aweil West stands for sportsmanship, peace, love, and unity across Greater Bahr el Ghazal and beyond. Football is not only about competition but also about bringing our communities together, and we remain dedicated to upholding that spirit. N.B we management of Aweil west football team , we can not threaten BCPT management or anyone from Yirol west as we stand on following the rules .

We kindly urge that the resolution already reached by the BCPT Technical Committee be respected and maintained as we are preparing to face twic county in quarterfinal.

📷 South Sudan’s first locally made flour brand has officially hit the market.

Hayba flour was unveiled today at Prestige Millers’ factory in Luri, in a ceremony attended by Central Equatoria governor Rabi Mujung Emmanuel.

The new brand offers a range of high-quality maize, wheat, and sorghum flour, available in packs from 1kg to 50kg, making nutritious and affordable flour accessible to households and businesses across the country.

President Salva Kiir has announced sweeping changes in his government through a series of presidential decrees read on state-run SSBC this evening.

1. Sacked Emmanuel Primo Okello from his position as Governor of Western Bahr el Ghazal State and appointed Sherif Daniel Sherif as the new governor.

2. Sacked Taban Abel from his role as Deputy Commissioner of the South Sudan Revenue Authority, naming John Mading Bol Makuac as his replacement.

3. Relieved Dr. Wek Mamer Kuol from his position as Minister of Justice and Constitutional Affairs and appointed him Minister of Parliamentary Affairs.

4. Relieved Dr. Joseph Geng Akec from his position as Minister of Youth and Sports and appointed him as the new Minister of Justice and Constitutional Affairs,

5. Relieved Mary Nawai Martin from her role as Minister of Parliamentary Affairs and appointed Minister of Youth and Sports.

Warrap State's Former Governor General Aleu Ayiey Aleu has called on Senior Presidential Envoy Adut Salva Kiir to fight corruption, since she is the only appointed senior government official with no vested interests, unlike other officials.

Speaking at Adut’s family residence in Juba on Saturday, August 23, Aleu asserted that Adut’s purpose in joining the government is to serve citizens, not to acquire wealth.

“Adut is the only person who has joined this political appointment, whom I think she’s not joining it or she accepted to join it because she’s going to make wealth,” Aleu stated.

He pointed out that Adut’s past as a tough businesswoman in the market means she knows who the corrupt leaders are.

“Adut has been in the market with all these people who have brought South Sudan down. So, she knows them.”

Aleu cautioned Adut to be wary of those who might try to influence her for their own gain. “I’ve seen so many protocols now around you,” he said.

He specifically urged her to distance herself from young businessmen. “Do not let them follow you to that office. Completely. These young businessmen, let them remain where they are, because you have a very serious mission.”

To set an example for others, Aleu urged Adut to declare her wealth. “I will advise you, Tomorrow morning, when you go to your office, call the chairman of anti-corruption. And declare all your wealth you have in front of the South Sudanese, and you will see what will happen,” he said.

He advised her to hire a professional, independent manager for her businesses so she can focus on her new role. “You have entered the citizens and have nothing to do with the business this time.”
