It was wrong for White Army to start a war against SSPDF forces in Nasir whom they have stayed for many years since 2018, if there were rumors of disarmament, they could have waited for that teams of disarmament to first come then you take action against them.

Weโ€™ve watched many videos of those soldiers saying we are not aware of that disarmament but you insist with the wrong information you received from Nuer politicians in Juba that Johnson Olony is going to disarm you and you start a fight against those few soldiers whoโ€™re station in Nasir since 2018 leading to death of Gen. David Majur.

Starting a fight with the National Army in the present of your own civilians is unacceptable. Those are circumstances of war. Itโ€™s very unfortunate that innocent civilians will suffer the most, and those rebels will survive.

Dr. Riek Machar will continue to mislead you with wrong information until you learn to mind his business, who only comes and employs his relatives.

No to war, no room for violence and tribalism.

SPLM-IO, White Army advancing towards Baliet for imminent attack, SSPDF warns

The South Sudan Peopleโ€™s Defense Forces (SSPDF) has raised alarm over an imminent attack on Baliet County by SPLM-IO forces and White Army militias.

In a press statement, SSPDF spokesperson Maj. Gen. L*l Ruai Koang disclosed that intelligence reports and aerial surveillance had detected large columns of SPLM-IO fighters and White Army militias advancing towards Gelachel and Baliet town. Initially, their mobilization aimed to disrupt troop rotations in Nasir, but recent intelligence indicates a shift toward launching large-scale offensives against civilians in Baliet.

The movement of these forces has already caused mass civilian displacement, with SSPDF warning of potential armed confrontations. Maj. Gen. L*l Ruai urged the hostile groups to halt their advance, retreat, and disperse to avoid further escalation.

BREAKING: Arm men overrun Turalei town

Eyewitnesses in Turalei town have told this outlet that armed youth overrun the Town.

This comes after the fight with police and SSPDF soldiers this afternoon, according to people who witnessed the scene.
Two people are believe to have sustained injuries as violence continues.
โ€œThe armed youth also broke into the police cell and released those who were detained. They managed to defeat the soldiers and police, and they remain in the city,โ€ a resident in Turalei Nyuol Abraham confirmed.

โ€œIt was this morning when the armed youth known was Titweng came to the town on more than 20 motorcycles. They went to police station to be given AK 12 machine or gun so that they can go and use it in rescue of raided cattle by the suspected armed youth from unity state,โ€ one of the police officer in Turalei who declined to be named stated.

Separately, there are reports that cattle from more than four cattle camps were raided this morning at Kuec Amuol area within Twic county.

Efforts made by Your Voice News to speak to TWIC county authority were not successful at the time of this publication.

This month, TWIC county commissioner was suspended by the former Warrap State Governor Francis Marial Abur.

He is tasked with the following;

1. Disarm illegal fi****ms in the possession of civil population within the country.

Clergy leaders share words of God and a meal with prisoners at Ayen Abiel Prison in Twic County.

Two clergy leaders in Twic County paid a courtesy visit to Ayen Abiel Central Prison to share words of God and had a meal with prisoners sentenced to Ayen Abiel Central Prison in Turalei Payam, Twic County.

Father Anthony Akok Aleu from Turalei Parish held the prayers with prisoners while Mother Tereza's sisters from the same parish prepared the meals and served food to prisoners. The prisoners could be seen happy and dancing to music after prayers and eating.

Father Aleu said this year is the year of jubilee and hope.

"This year, 2025, is the year of JUBILEE, the year of hope; prisoners are happy and hoping that their problems will be solved," Father Akok said.

On a separate note, Abun Paul Lueth Kat from the Transformation of the World in Christ, a church-based organization in Twic County, also prayed with prisoners and donated a bull to them as a gesture for the celebration of New Year's Eve 2025.

People sentenced to Ayen Abiel Prison range from three months and above, and this includes people who committed minor offenses to major crimes, like those who impregnated girls and failed to pay a pregnant cow, those who committed adultery and failed to pay seven cows, those who committed theft of cows and other minor crimes, and those who committed capital crimes like murders.
